39% IN 2020
According to Canalys, global EV sales reached 3.1 million units in 2020, a 39% increase from 2019.
New World believes this growth will increase the demand for EV charging stations.
In 2020, approximately 3.1 million electric vehicles were sold worldwide, representing about 4.7% of all new passenger car sales (IEA, 2021). Based on this trend, New World believes that demand for EV charging infrastructure will continue to grow.
EV sales are expected to continue rising, reaching approximately 48% of new passenger car sales by 2030, according to BloombergNEF.
